Vero & Eddy
As many Flemish Belgians we spent our holidays since many years in France, having a preference for the Vaucluse area and especially the region around Mont Ventoux. We stayed here in chambres d'hôtes, on camping sites, and later on with our camper.
We fell for the nice weather, the rough character of the mountains with the summer heath in the valleys, the clean air, the warm summers with cool nights, the pure taste of regional products. But we also fell for the special autumn smell, the bright air during the cold, sunny winter period, the luxury taste of truffles in January-February; the beginning of spring in February with the marvellous blossoms on the almond trees. It all felt so good!
First we bought a small piece of land in Malemort du Comtat with a 'cabanon', a small stone shelter, which gave us a fixed area to park our camper and to enjoy the quietness and nature. And in the meantime we dreamt to live and work here....
In 2014 we bought our village house and we started realising our dream. 3 years later we gave a new turn to our life and we started implementing our projects in this region that became more and more our second nature.
Eddy has a solid experience in the world of dialysis, first as a nurse, and later on in different support and sales functions in Belgium and abroad. The last years he has been working in France. He likes to share his knowledge of this region and his experiences telling stories in a light-hearted way.
Vero has been working 15 years as a nurse and later on she had different management positions in health care. She enjoys healthy and balanced food, which explains her passion for tea.
She realises an old dream by opening her Bed&Breakfast in their ancient village house in Malemort-du-Comtat.
